Mike Czajkowski made our dream a reality in making our lakehouse into a beautiful lake home. Ours in an unusual situation as we live in California and trusted Mike to do a renovation that would take several months, cost a great deal of money, produce a quality product AND we would be thousands of miles away. We would not be around on a daily or weekly basis to monitor this undertaking. We had to trust whoever was going to do this. In Mike Czajkowski, we found that person. He is honest, fair, knowledgeable and dependable; a man of vision and a man of his word.

He kept in constant contact with us thru weekly telephone calls, videos and emailing. He sent photos for all phases of this project from the rotted floor joists and plumbing to the new windows and new roof. He agonized over every detail until it was perfect. He offered quality suggestions to our vision. He always had our best interest at the center of every decision made.

On the few occasions he had to use outside contractors, they were licensed and bonded. He got all proper permits from the town. He was aware of the building codes and did not use any shortcuts. He handled all phases of this construction as if it were his own home. He was able to work within our budget and steered us to quality products.

When we were able to return to Indiana to view progress, Mike was always available to “ walk us through” progress. He was patient with our decision making on flooring, carpeting, cabinet and paint choices. He worked with quality vendors who helped us see our vision, even when we were not sure what that vision was. He was always receptive to our suggestions and changes.

His work crew was very courteous and very clean. None of our neighbors were inconvenienced by our construction. They were mindful of noise and mess.

I strongly recommend Mike Czajkowski and his Construction firm as a very competent, honest and professional contractor. Mike’s crew constructed the addition to my home during the winter. Weather notwithstanding, the project was completed in the estimated time and prudent economic decisions were made whenever inclement conditions warranted interruption of construction to assure a quality job. Mike’s crew was prompt, professional and kept the work site clean throughout the project. The project was designed and specified by an architect, however, Mike pointed out and made significant necessary changes to the construction drawings, correcting numerous errors (early in the project) by the architect. He consulted with me and I with him, in making field changes to assure the construction was proportional, resulting in an eye appealing addition. I feel that the pride and quality of workmanship were evident, in the concern to make the construction sound, economically practical, and making the end product very satisfactory to me as the customer.

Billing was prompt, honest and fair. Mike Czajkowski met his commitment to stay and work on my project until completion. The finishing work in the final stages of construction of my project by Mike’s crew demonstrated a meticulous pride in craftsmanship and the end product definitely reflected “A QUALITY JOB”.
